Hello! My name is Nick and I am a junior at Oregon State majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. My current area of interest is in embedded systems programming, and over this term I have gained significant experience in this area in my assembly programming course and in my group design project (see link below). Our goal was to create a smart chicken coop to assist in the care of chickens. My roles in the project included interfacing the environment sensors to our microcontroller, such as food/water, light, and temperature sensors. I also implemented a heat lamp dimmer to emulate a natural day cycle to improve the chicken's roosting habits.
