About

I am currently a third year student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oregon State University, with a focus in power electronics. I enjoy spending my time in developing electronics for use diverse situations. I currently work with the Ocean Mixing Group in CEOAS at OSU, with the Robotic Oceanographic Surface Sampling division as an electrical engineer for their robotic ocean going vessels. My main job is troubleshooting and developing subsystems to aid the vessel in it's mission to gather samples and record data about the environment that it is deployed it. These often involve PCB creation, waterproof cabling, and system design that are meant to be used in the harsh ocean environments from Antarctica to India. Currently I am working on developing a COTS control system that will be deployed on a fleet of small outboard motor boats to survey the currents in the Gulf of Mexico. In my spare time I am apart of the Oregon State Robotics Club in the Mars Rover Team, as an electrical project manager and Altium Library manager. I am often working with other members to design PCBs, consult with professionals, and write firmware for the science apparatus. This involves a lot of teamwork, communication, and late nights to get the designs up and running in time for full systems integration.
