The goal of this project is the design and development of a technologically advanced feeding system. Key features include an automated feed dispensing mechanism, safety sensors, and user friendly controls for ease of operation. The feed dispenser is engineered to handle varying types of livestock feed and dispense them in controlled quantities reducing wastage and ensuring an equitable distribution among the animals. The entire system is designed to operate in harsh environments which includes high temperature resistance, water resistance, and particulate resistance. RF (Radio Frequency) systems in the feeder design play a crucial role in enhancing operational safety. By enabling remote control capabilities these systems ensure that the operator can manage the feeder from a safe distance. This significantly reduces the risk of accidents or injuries that may occur from direct contact with farm animals. The system is powered by a large capacity rechargeable lead acid battery to ensure the system can operate for long periods of time without needing recharging. However, challenges such as ensuring the power system's reliability and the durability of components in harsh weather conditions were significant. Future improvements will focus on extensive field testing, refining the design based on feedback, and exploring scalability options to make the feeder more accessible to a broader range of farmers.
