The 3-axis coil sensing device is utilized in the location of cabling infrastructure for mapping purposes. The device simplifies the process of locating underground cabling in hard to reach environments by offering sensing capabilities over wide distances. In addition, the coil sensor streamlines the process for data extraction through wireless networking options. To extend the usability of the device in the field, battery power is offered to provide flexibility when access to power is limited. Its minimal form factor and lightweight design will provide ease of use to our project partner. A central feature of the 3-axis coil sensor is the ability to select a desired frequency when cable searching. With this device, our project partner will be able to detect cables at a useful range, with high accuracy and fine-tuning.
