ENGR 103 Final Project

We focused our project on the aesthetic aspect, programming our robot to move forward with a swaying motion like a shark. This was achieved by powering both wheels but providing more power to one than the other, creating a side-to-side movement. The coding process involved significant trial and error, adjusting the power levels for each wheel until the desired motion was achieved. During assembly, we encountered a major setback: the robot functioned correctly with USB power but stopped working entirely with battery power. To resolve this, we attended office hours, where we received the necessary guidance to fix the issue. Once the functionality was restored, we proceeded to design and create the shell for the robot. We ensured the sensor had ample space to detect obstacles ahead. Throughout this project, we learned the critical importance of time management. By not procrastinating and utilizing our available time effectively, we were able to address challenges promptly and complete the project successfully. This experience underscored the value of early planning and consistent effort, which were crucial in overcoming obstacles and achieving our project goals.
