[CS467] AI Coder: Mobile Treasure Hunt Game

The AI Coder: Mobile Treasure Hunt Game is a R&D project by Tamarsh Abeysekera, Sophia Cai, and Alec Temes for our Capstone course at Oregon State University. Purpose: Create a mobile treasure hunt game using AI tools. Methods: • Utilize AI tools like Chat GPT and GitHub Copilot to varying degrees: minimal, intermediate, and full. Midjourney was incorporated for asset generation. • Each mobile app has these standard features: user account creation, user authentication, and a hosted backend that allows treasure hunts to be created, downloaded, and run. • Successes and failures were documented and discussed throughout the process. Recommendations: • AI excels in generating basic skeleton code and providing a starting point for customization and specialization. • Utilizing AI for debugging and providing high-level guidance can significantly expedite the development process. • Mobile development experience is beneficial for identifying and correcting errors in AI-generated code.
