This project is an interactive timer that utilizes a Time of Flight distance sensor to detect an object on top of it. You can set the time to anywhere from 1-99 minutes, and the timer will sound either when you remove the object, or when the timer runs out of time. This system uses a 4x4 number pad and 4 digit seven-segment display to display the time and take in number inputs. It runs off of a 9 Volt battery and has 3 different brightness settings. The system also utilizes a small speaker that can emit a 440Hz audible tone when the object is removed. Some notable accomplishments are, getting the entire system to work together, especially the sensor with the entire system and getting our speaker to work as intended. Some areas for future improvement could be designing a better physical enclosure, and building a mechanical feature to hold the object in place until the timer is over.
