For my final project I chose to do the emotion challenge, with trying to convey the emotion of the robot I found it to be rather difficult to try and convey emotion with the movements of the robot, I opted to treat the robot almost similar to a dog, when its happy it circles around, when it's sad it paces back and forth by moving forward and backward, for the robot being scared make it move backward and pause slightly. For my code I took a lot of inspiration from the bumpbot sample code using that as a base to build the beginning of the code and then in trying to figure out how the motors worked, I also took inspiration from YouTube to help model the code. The assignment with the robots I found to be my favorite out of the projects we did, I found that I liked coding what seemed more tangible to me in the robot form than when we coded the adventure game or the hotel directory. I found the assignment to be difficult at first, because I was trying to find a starting point for writing my code and to find a way to try and convey emotions through the robots. I found that treating the emotions of the robots like a dog to be effective as it gave me something to model the emotions after. I greatly enjoyed the creating of the robot, I had never sawdered before and found that to be the most enjoyable part of this project as it was a new skill that I got to learn.
