Flyback Converter for use in Smart Off Grid Power Supply

This project is the execution of a flyback topology power converter. Using this topology allows the user to go either above or below the supplied voltage. Additionally, with the use of a coupled inductor, the range of the duty cycle for the MOSFET does not need to be as wide compared to other simple topologies. This converter will be able to handle from 12V to 80V with an adjustable output. The system will need to handle 25W at peak load and 15W nominally. The output voltage will need to be stable and adjustable. It will fit into a compact footprint. The main intention is to fit this device into the “Smart Power Supply for Off Grid Single Board Computer” system to replace the bought modules that serve as the DC conversion. Lastly, the new converter will need to be mounted on a PCB. I was able to achieve all requirements other than the input voltage range and the load tests. I will be working on it further when I can.
