Spring 2025

We have designed a pair of Bluetooth headphones intended for everyday use, offering both wireless and wired connectivity. The system is built for users who value high-quality audio, comfort, and the flexibility of USB-C charging and data transfer. It is especially suited for long-term listening, whether for work, commuting, or casual use. The headphones repurpose the original enclosure and drivers from the Audio-Technica ATH-M20x headset, known for their strong audio performance and ergonomic fit. The design integrates Bluetooth communication, USB-C charging, data lines, and a reliable internal battery system to support long playtime. One of our biggest accomplishments was successfully adding new technology into the reused headphone housing without losing sound quality or comfort. One challenge we faced was fitting all the parts and routing power and signal lines in a small space.
