The purpose of this project is to provide a general networking and visualization solution for the GFR team’s telemetry system. This will enable wireless communication between the car and the pit team, or anyone who has access to the network. As requested by the team, there will be enough bandwidth to transmit telemetry data.The telemetry data will come from sensors connected to two of the vehicles CAN bus lines. Telemetry data will be visible via mobile devices and computers. Telemetry visualization will be implemented in the form of a webpage hosted locally onboard the vehicle. As a team we are designing a full GUI for ease of use and access to remote data. Our team will also store CAN data for later use. Data storage functionality will be available to client-side users in the form of a download button. The goal is to have a system that can transmit vehicle telemetry information, and display it in a clear, manageable manner so that it is easily accessible to the team during and after the races.
