The Fuel Kiosk is a monitoring system being developed for Oregon State University's agricultural research sites to track and record project specific fuel usage, reducing labor time, and moving away from an overhead fuel cost. The system works by having users input fuel quantities and associated project details when refueling vehicles, thereby allowing for better oversight of fuel usage and identification of discrepancies within such transactions. Currently, a prototype system is in place at OSU’s Dairy Farm, but it requires improvements in temperature management, environment versatility, reliability, and cost efficiency.
