For this project, our group built a Bee-Hive Monitoring System that is able to show analytics about the bee-hive. The system will display the internal and external temperatures of the hive as well as its humidity on the inside. Also, the system will be monitoring the weight of the hive, and the system will allow transfer of data at least 450ft away from the hive. The data that gets collected will be displayed onto a graph that shows changes in the data over time, as well as all the data will be stored on an SD card connected to the microcontroller at the bee-hive, in case the receiver loses connection. The system will be qualified to run all throughout the night and will recharge the batteries with solar panels during the day. The center of our project is using an Arduino microcontroller that will direct power to the sensors as well as collect, store, and transmit all of the sensor data.
