Intended use: The portable DC Power Supply is designed to provide a stable, adjustable direct current power source. This has many applications, including fieldwork, laboratory testing, prototyping, and educational purposes. With its portability and compact design it is an ideal tool for anyone who needs reliable power on the go. Key Technologies Implemented: The power supply features two independent channels, each capable of delivering a voltage range from 2V to 14V and a current range from 0A to 1.5A. The system also includes a display that provides real-time monitoring of voltage and current from both channels. Two 4V batteries power the device, maintaining consistent performance while in use. Notable Accomplishments and Challenges: One of the most notable accomplishments of this project is the successful integration of two independent channels using two 4V batteries. The biggest challenges we encountered in the project were providing accurate real-time monitoring under varying loads and using only two 4V batteries to power our entire system. Future improvements may include integrating a battery charging station, this would be a quality-of-life improvement as you would not have to buy and put in new batteries when they die. Another improvement would be to replace the enclosure currently being used with a more sturdy and stable material.
