Basic Custom Timer EJ21 ECE342-W24

The custom timer system is built for precise timing, making it useful for both learning and practical purposes. It can be used in labs, workshops, and experiments where exact countdowns are important. The timer uses an Arduino microcontroller, which acts as the main controller, managing user inputs and outputs. It has a seven-segment display to show the countdown and a speaker that plays a 440Hz sound when the countdown ends. Users interact with the timer through several buttons that control functions like starting, resetting, increasing or decreasing time, adjusting display brightness, and changing volume levels. A major achievement of this project is the successful combination of multiple input controls and output displays, making it easy to use. Future enhancements could improve power management and add more advanced features, such as split timing or multiple countdown settings. The system's versatility and accuracy make it a valuable tool for various applications, ensuring reliable performance in time-sensitive tasks.
